Even Me

God can use anyone to do His work, so long as they have a willing heart.  I've always been told that, but never really believed it.  Sure, Moses was a stutterer, Paul a murderer, and Matthew a tax collector, but I always figured there was something else about them that was special.  You know what?  There wasn't.  Not really.  Only that they were willing to give everything to God and allow Him to do His will through their lives.  God can use anyone to do His work, even me.  That fascinates me; He can use an 18 year old girl to do His work.  What do I know about the world?  How many experiences have I had to give wisdom to others?  I, myself, have very little, if anything, to offer the world.  But God can use me to provide just what others need, such as love and support.  Nothing is impossible for God, I just never expected Him to choose me for anything.  I'm nothing special; I'm just a regular person.  God uses regular people.

YOUR WRONG!  You have everything to offer the world.  What I see in you is life, (light, Christ) what I mean by that is your gift to want to find good in everyone and the gift of acceptance of those who don't know Christ.  That is a gift, many people will spend their entire christain life and not come to understand that it takes a relationship with Christ, one that must be worked on on a daily basic, that will guide and protect you while living in this world and help you to the next.  You not only understand it but you live it and by living it you are sharing and encourageing those around you.  SO you can't say you have nothing to offer the world.  It's not about your experiences but about what God holds in store for you.  You have to remember God even made children kings, what is Daivd's sons name......oh yeah Solomon.  Spelling is wrong for that I am sure but you get the point.  God bless you little sis and talk to you later.  Thank you for being you!

Not to dis' brother Bill. But I think you hit the nail on the head. While all around you may think you are something special. The glowing attitude you exhibit is just as taught in Philippians 2 - "Consider others better than yourselves."

Humility is key to pursuing God and recongizing that you are on equal status with everyone else - that you are not better nor are you any worse than any other human being ever - you have a heart that may approach God.

Do you have something to offer the world? Sure. The same thing any human has to offer. But God THROUGH you has something to offer the world that you alone could never do.

But I think you get it! As Bill said - thanks for being you. Just plain ole' ordinary you. It's through the ordinary that God shines.
